“SHE’S LOSING HER VISION BUT I WILL NOT LET HER FACE IT ALONE”
Story
My name is Tiffany , and I’m a single mom in Phoenix doing everything I can to care for my 17-year-old daughter , her name is Sadee. She has a rare eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa, which is causing her to lose her vision. Doctors say she will be completely blind by her mid-20s. Every day, she struggles with simple tasks most of us take for granted.
As her mother, it breaks my heart to watch her world grow darker, but I refuse to let her lose hope.
I work hard, waking up at 3 AM to take multiple buses 20 miles to work and back, all while trying to get my daughter to her weekly eye appointments. I try to do everything I can, but it feels like the world keeps stacking challenges against us.
Last week , I decided to go to a small car dealership and try to put $1,000 down on a car to attempt to make our lives just a little easier. Sadly, a shady dealership scammed me — they took my down payment and never gave it back. I was devastated. It was every penny I had, and I worked so hard for it.
I’m humbly asking for help to get back on my feet and save enough for a reliable used vehicle. Having a car would mean:
•Easier, safer trips to my daughter’s doctor appointments.
• Less exhaustion from long bus commutes.
• More time and energy to spend with my daughter, instead of on buses.
I’ve been researching to find help for my daughter and learned about a stem cell treatment being done in Germany or another country that shows promises in stopping the progression of vision loss. Unfortunately, it’s extremely expensive and far beyond anything I could ever afford alone. While my main goal now is raising enough for a vehicle, it is also my dream that one day my daughter might have a chance at this treatment — or that sharing our story might connect us to someone who can help make it possible.
Any amount — no matter how small — would make a huge difference in our lives. I’m not asking for luxury, just the chance to provide stability, dignity, and hope for my daughter as she faces something no teenager should ever have to face.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for even reading our story. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign means the world too. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Tiffany and Sadee
